Hiroshi Hongo is known for his portrait sculptures of Mother Teresa and Anne Frank, as well as sculptures depicting the images of modern children. He is a sculptor and also an expert in art education for children with disabilities. This book is a compilation of his work as both an artist and an educator.

About the Author

Hiroshi Hongo: Sculptor, Professor at Tokyo University of the Arts. Member of the Kokugakai. In addition to creating works as a sculptor, he has a deep knowledge of art education and disability and art, and serves as a member and chairperson of the Agency for Cultural Affairs and the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare's "Conference on the Promotion of Arts and Culture for People with Disabilities in Preparation for the 2020 Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games." He is the editor of "A New Era of Instruction in Drawing, Crafts and Art for Special Needs Schools for the Intellectually Disabled." Born in Kyoto in 1951.
